Complex Development Projects developed the former BG plc operational control centre on Portway, Preston in partnership with Gold Medal Travel Group plc, the UK’s 2nd largest independent travel company.
The existing 40,000sqft office and warehouse building adjacent to the Albert Edward Dock was refurbished and adapted to provide a 400 seat call centre and headquarters office for Gold Medal. A twelve week programme saw work commence in September 1999, with Gold Medal taking occupation in December, in time for their busiest period of the year.
Alongside the call centre, CDP has developed a drive-thru restaurant for KFC and a health and fitness club in partnership with Carrefour Health and Beauty.
